The weather was fantastic and about 80 classmates and spouses got together for our long-delayed 50 Year Reunion. Thanks so much to those who came to one, two, or all three days' activities. It was so much fun, and a decent turnout considering the challenges of the past year. Thirty classmates attended the Scrappers Game Thursday July 22nd - Buck Night! Nice cheap way to join with friends and kick off the reunion.
On Friday, 46 classmates and spouses roamed the halls of Howland High and had flashbacks to 51+ years ago. Everything seemed smaller than remembered- except the new gymnasium! Then we drove downtown and climbed the steps of the old public library to retake our senior class photo- this time as true seniors. Local photographer Bob Jadloski was there with his drone camera to catch the moment. Afterwards some stayed in Warren and raised a glass at Modern Methods Brewery and CharBenay's Wine on the River while others drove to Hartford Hill Winery in Fowler where Bob Walton's Take II duo played. It was a lovely night at both locations.
Saturday's Main Event was amazing. Perfect weather, a beautiful venue at Squaw Creek, delicious food including cookies homemade by classmates, a photo booth for goofy shots with friends, Memorabilia table, 50+ Years of Memories Slideshow, 50 Year Special Edition of Tiger Times (reprints of 12 issues from our senior year), fun entertainment with magician Eric Thompson, and a moving Memorial tribute to the classmates we've lost. It was a really nice evening all the way around. We missed those who wanted to be there but couldn't make it, but we are happy so many of you managed to come. A huge thank you to everyone on the committee who worked hard to finally make this reunion happen!
The 50+ Years of Memories Slideshow, Bob Jadloski’s pics, Photo Booth photos, and candids taken by other classmates all three days are available now under Main Navigation > 50 Year Reunion.
